Adoption Grants
There are a number of grants available for adoption but be sure to read the fine print. Many have specific requirements. A good rule of thumb is to not rely on grants for your adoption funds as there are far more requests than monies available.
A Child Waits Foundation
Provides grants to families adopting a child waiting in an orphanage internationally.
The Buescher Foundation
Offers grants for domestic adoptions to families who have been approved by an agency or facilitator. Must have a completed home study.
CMomA
Providing grants to childless single men, women, or couples choosing to adopt older children (age 2-17) in need or special needs children of all ages, both domestically and internationally.
Gift of Adoption Fund
A national charitable organization that inspires adoption by providing grants to qualified parents – giving children who need families a permanent home and a chance to thrive.
Cade Foundation
Offers up to $10,000 per family to assist with domestic adoption or infertility treatments.
God’s Grace Adoption Ministry
God’s Grace Adoption Ministry seeks to help Christian families overcome the financial burden of adopting children through adoption grants and support.
Grace Haven Home
Grace Haven exists to support families in the process of adoption through prayer, education, and grants.
Gradient Gives Back Foundation
Gradient Gives Back Foundation awards a full year of mortgage or lease payments to deserving families. Families need to be nominated and explain why they are deserving.
Hand in Hand
Provides matching grants for home study ready families.
Help Us Adopt
Helps families with grants to overcome the financial obstacles of adoption to build forever families. Must have home study complete or in progress.
Helping Kids Cope
Grants available for home study ready families to help defray the cost of adoption. There are also grants available for birth mothers who have completed an adoption plan.
JSC Foundation
Grants for Christian families working with an adoption agency with a 501(c)3 non-profit status with the IRS.
Katelyn’s Fund
Grants available for Christian families working with a licensed adoption agency.
Lifesong for Orphans
Offering matching grants (ranging from $1,000-$4,000) to encourage the adoptive family’s church or others to help and support the adoption.
LYDIA Fund
Providing assistance with the overseas portions of international adoption expense, this program is for married Christian couples.
The Micah Fund
The MICAH Fund’s core goal is to provide financial assistance to prospective Christian adoptive parents who are seeking to adopt African American or biracial children. This is done in the form of dollar-for-dollar matching grants up to a specified amount.
National Adoption Foundation
The National Adoption Foundation awards grants four times per year to families with a home study or a home study in process. The program is open to all legal adoptions including public or private agency adoption, international, special needs, or attorney facilitated.
One Less Ministries
Grants for Christian families working with an adoption agency with a 501(c)3 non-profit status.
Pathways for Little Feet
By providing interest-free loans to adoptive families, Pathways for Little Feet hopes to move toward a world in which every child belongs in a loving home.
Sacred Selections
Provide grants to families who are members of the Church of Christ and have a home study.
SBC Minister’s Adoption Fund
The SBC Minister’s Adoption Fund exists to financially assist Southerns Baptist leaders who are ministers, missionaries, or agency personnel in the adoption process. The vision is to help them bring their children home and ignite a culture of adoption in SBC churches across the country.
Show Hope
Show Hope provides grants to families in the adoption process so that more children can have loving homes. Must be home study approved and adopting through a 501(c)3 nonprofit placing agency.
